The inaugural issue of the Bangladesh Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (BJPMR), the official journal of the Bangladesh Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (BSPMR), Volume 1, Issue 1 (January–June 2025). It opens with an editorial on the journal’s role as a new platform for rehabilitation research and collaboration. The issue includes a narrative review on cardiac rehabilitation in Bangladesh. Its original articles cover physiatrist-led disaster response during the 2024 flood, kinesiophobia in chronic inflammatory low back pain, patient satisfaction with physical therapy, and electrical stimulation in Bell’s palsy. It also has a case report on acute limb ischaemia that looked like sciatica, and a perspective on functioning as the third health indicator.
